Director

Em Pechon is an accomplished dancer of over 25 years. She started her dance journey at the age of 3 and hasn't stopped since! As a young dancer, Em’s family moved frequently so she attended many different studios and schools of dance. In high school, Em trained with the Macholah Ballet Company, was a member of the Hurricane High School Dance Team, and performed as a singer/dancer with the Red Hot Show Choir. Em attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies and minored in dance. While at Wesleyan, Em started the now nationally ranked WVWC Competitive Dance Team and served as Captain and Head Choreographer. Em has been teaching and choreographing since graduating college in 2020, and opened Studio 33 Dance Center in 2024. Her inaugural competition team ranked in the top five at every competition during their first season.

Instructor

Ashley Lewis teaches our ballet and pre-pointe classes for all students in the petite level and higher. Originally from Chelsea, Alabama, Ashley trained in classical ballet from the ages of 4-18. Now a pianist and piano teacher, she holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Alabama, a Master of Music from Bowling Green State University, and she is currently a doctoral candidate at West Virginia University pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance. She currently owns In Harmony Music Studio in Buckhannon and offers piano, organ, and voice lessons. Ashley is passionate about inclusivity in the arts, and her area of research focuses on the impact of disability on the learning and teaching of music. She is an incredible artist and we are so lucky to have Ashley on our team!

Instructor

Allison Kincaid teaches mini ballet & jazz, petite-junior lyrical, and offers solo privates. Allison is a 2023 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School. She trained at The Dance Factory in Buckhannon from the ages of 16-18 where Miss Em was one of her first teachers! Despite starting later in life, Allison has a great eye for choreography and a passion for dance. Allison has been teaching for Studio 33 Dance Center for the last 2 years while also keeping up with her dance training.

Instructor

Siobhan Settle teaches hippity hop for our preschool age dancers. Siobhan began dancing at age 2 and started competing at the age of 11. She trained at Lee’s Studio of Dance for 16 years and in high school was also a singer/dancer in Capital VIP Show Choir. Siobhan then attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she received her nursing degree. While in nursing school, Siobhan remained active in the WVWC dance department and was a member of the dance team. Siobhan is currently an RN at United Hospital Center.
